Ingredients
Tart
- ½ cup vegan butter
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 cups gluten free plain flour
- 4 tablespoon water
Brownie Filling
- 2 Fine & Raw Sea Salt Chocolate Bars
- ½ cup vegan butter
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup plant-based milk
- 1 ¼ cup gluten-free plain flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
Chocolate Glaze
- 1 Fine & Raw Oat Milk Chocolate Bar
- 2 tablespoon Fine & Raw Hazelnut Spread
- ¾ cup plant-based milk
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Begin by preheating the oven to 180℃/356℉ and grease and flour your tart tin and set aside.
- Start by making the pastry, to do this rub together the butter, sugar and flour together until it reaches a crumb consistency.
- Next add the water a bit at a time, mixing after each addition until it comes together into a dough.
- Roll the dough out onto a floured surface or in between 2 sheets of plastic wrap to prevent the dough sticking to the surface.
- Once the dough is rolled out to the size of your tart tin, roll the pastry over the rolling pin and carry it over the tart tin [make sure to remove the plastic wrap before doing this]
- Press the pastry into the tin, if you have any tears just patch them up with the remaining pastry.
- Remove the excess pastry with a knife, around the tin and set it aside in the fridge while you make the brownie filling. [this will help prevent the pastry from shrinking as it bakes]
Brownie filling
- Heat together the chocolate, milk, butter and sugar in a pan on medium heat until the ingredients have completely melted.
- Next add the flour, cocoa powder and chopped pecans and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter onto the tart shell and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
Chocolate glaze
- As the tart cools, make the chocolate glaze by heating together the chocolate, milk and hazelnut spread in the microwave for 30 second intervals until melted.
- Pour the glaze over the tart and sprinkle with chopped pecans
- All that's left to do now is to slice and enjoy!
