Marcona almond + raw chocolate butter

Marcona almonds come from Spain. They're toasted in olive oil and salted - and they end up exemplifying the almond version of umami/deliciousness. Their depth and richness of flavor feel borderline indulgent, and compounding the effect is the lavish macadamia-like texture. Nutritionally, they're like regular old California almonds too.

Logically, we made almond butter with said Marconas and added chocolate. This resulted in a food experience bordering the insane (and you can spread it on toast). We recommend simply spooning it out the jar though.

Suggested eating techniques + tips:

  • Eat it with a spoon.
  • Slather it on your favorite baguette.
  • Add it to ice cream.
  • Pair it with tea, coffee, wine, cheese.
  • Eat it with a banana and/or berries and/or cherries.
  • Share (but only a little) with ones you love.
  • Breathe.
